Zero-Compensator Filter for Power Sharing Between Battery/Supercapacitor in a Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System

This paper contributes to the energy management of a Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS), comprising lithium-ion battery and Supercapacitors (SCs) for grid-connected photovoltaic system. In general, an (ESS) can offset intermittency renewable energy. However, ESS absorb large amounts with slow dynamics, but only fast dynamics when subjected high currents, which quickly their wear. To avoid this, SCs are added storage as supplement batteries. There various methods power-sharing, including most common, uses Low-Pass Filter (LPF). article proposes new technique distribute power between using zero-compensator filter regulator. Also, this is based on compensation dissipated by through SCs. Besides, State Charge (SoC) kept within safe boundaries. The proposed compared classical HESS techniques. simulation results confirmed efficacy method rapidly restoring DC-link voltage improving lifespan. addition, adaptable stand-alone site, AC currents showed good quality.
